Technology of water insulation of oil and gas formations during overhaul repairs of wells

The article is devoted to the consideration of technologies for waterproofing oil and gas formations during major repairs of wells. Special attention is paid to methods of water clogging, drainage technology, and approaches to in-situ water isolation. Technologies for waterproofing oil and gas formations during well overhaul are generalized. The advantages and disadvantages of various technologies are revealed. The most suitable ones for aquifers with different geological characteristics have been determined.
