Text as an object of research of media linguistics

The definition of the term “media text” is given as a dynamic complex unit that performs speech interaction in the field of mass media. The typology of media texts is given. The analysis of the cultural-specificity of media texts on the material of the Spanish-language publicistic discourse is conducted, and methods for studying media texts are described.
