Telegram channels as a factor in transforming the nature of mass media in our times

The choice of the research topic is conditioned by the ambiguous legal status of such a relatively new phenomenon for the Russian media space as information Telegram channels. The current Russian legislation does not grant them the status of mass media. At the same time, the onto-epistemological analysis of the essence of Telegram channels allows us to establish the undoubted similarity of this phenomenon with the mass media, thus the issue of studying the transformation of the media space and understanding of the mass media becomes relevant today.
