This article reveals the problem of interaction between television and mass audience, describes the degree and quality of functioning of the inherent connection «television -audience» at the present stage, reveals the causal link between television programs, offered by a TV professional elites, and social preferences. In this context we consider the problem of implementation of on-screen: communication uncharacteristic social universe of the lexical skills, and verbal practices that characterize the cultural state of society.
