“Dark” tourism as the factor of the development of the postwar Syrian city of Aleppo

Tourism is considered to be a factor in the development of the regions in the modern era at the economic, social and cultural levels. The Syrian city of Aleppo is one of the historical cities that includes a large number of cultural tourist destinations, but the war destroyed some of these places and also much of the public and tourist infrastructure. It led to the creation of a new type of tourism, known as dark tourism. It, over time, will play a role in attracting tourists to tourist destinations in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
