Temporal characteristics of suicide in the Russian province in the second half of XIX century (based on Kursk province materials)

It is shown that the dynamics of suicidal activity of the population of Kursk province during the post-reform period (the second half of XIX century) was characterized by a constant increase in the number of deaths from suicide. The pace of growth and the urban and rural population of the province of Kursk significantly outpaced the growth in the number of suicides. Significant predominance of men voluntarily committed an act of violence against oneself, against women in this province was fairly typical of the provinces of the European part of Russia.
