Development trends in resort medicine in the digital economy

Resort medicine development in the country and regions is constrained by a set of factors related to the macroeconomic situation and crisis, demand reduction, structural problems of specialized enterprises. The article considers the development features of resort medicine and the main directions of increasing its efficiency on the basis of digital technologies. The author justifies positive role of the sanatorium complex in using therapeutic factors in the regions. The article analyzes the morbidity and dynamics of indicators of socio-economic status of specialized enterprises providing health services, and identify the problems related to the using the potential of the territories. The author offers the directions for applying digital economy in the field of goal setting, improvement of quality of management and medical and wellness services. The health resort complex development in the country should be reflected in the system of indicators characterizing the market condition of the object under study. Researching normative legal documents and analysis of existing programs aimed at the development and targeted financing of health tourism lead to the conclusion that the established evaluation criteria characterize quantitative aspects of the industry and do not take into account modern market realities. The development strategy of health resort industry in Russia should be based on achievable specific goals, adequate to the potential and level of specialized enterprises in administrative and territorial units, take into account management technology, positively proven in foreign resorts.
