The trend of changes in labor functions due to the development of digital technologies

The fourth industrial revolution brings with it new technologies that are actively entering our life and various sectors of the national economy. The article discusses the general features of industrial revolutions in terms of changes in employment and the attitude of urban and rural populations. The tendencies of changes in labor functions in connection with the development of technologies are considered, namely: a more complete displacement of manual labor, an increase in requirements for it, skills of working with robots, their operation and maintenance are required. wider introduction of digital technologies in the profession, which causes a greater need for relevant knowledge and skills among representatives of existing professions. It is noted that, to the greatest extent, routine operations consist of professions that relate to low-skilled workers and such specialists as, for example: bank tellers, clerks, accountants, workers performing the same operations, for example, assembling a unit, etc. When studying the trends in changes in labor functions, the growing role of professions related to environmental protection and the growing role of information as a factor of economic growth was also taken into account.
