Shadow economy in the system financial of socio-economic relations

The shadow economy is one of the most complex, dangerous and ubiquitous phenomena. It has its own history, which began hundreds of years ago and continues to this day. To date, the shadow economy has been able to penetrate almost all layers of society. The study presents an analysis of the causes and trends of the shadow economy in the system of socio-economic relations in Russia, in the Central Federal District and the Tambov region, based on open data and data provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tambov region. To form a complete picture of the state of the shadow economy, the period from 2018 to 2022 was studied. The purpose of the study was to analyze the main indicators of the level of the shadow economy in the system financial of socio-economic relations, which made it possible to identify threats and trends of economic security in municipalities, to propose measures to minimize the risks of the shadow economy. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were drawn about the strategic importance of this problem in municipalities and understanding the consequences of its strengthening.
