Shadow economy and methods of countering illegal acts in the economic sphere

The shadow economy is currently attracting considerable interest in terms of its impact on most economic and social phenomena and processes such as income generation and distribution, investment, trade and the growth of social and economic well-being. The growing scale of illegal acts in the economic sphere is destroying the state’s economic activity on internal level, preventing the prosperous and sustainable development of the economy and the state as a whole. This is not only a fundamental problem of economic science but also an extremely valuable national task, since the shadow economy has a high potential for the development of the official economy, which in turn confirms the relevance of the topic under study. The article considers the main types and factors of the shadow economy, analyzes the level of the shadow economy of the Russian Federation and other countries, proposed methods to counteract illegal acts in the economic sphere. This work is based on the basic principles of research activities, which include the search and systematic analysis of information directly, related to the stated topic.
