In the present paper we describe famous theory of memory by the early Christian theologian and philosopher, Augustine of Hippo. We concentrate on “The Confessions” and on “The Trinity”, in which he demonstrates the connection between Creator and the human and the power of memory in the soul in this relation. The article detects some problems, such as: the relation between memory and mind, as well as influence of Platonic view of recollection and wickedness of memory. It’s also analyses Augustine’s trinitarian analogies. Trinity is the core doctrine of Christianity, and it says that God exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Augustine explains the consubstantiality of the three divine persons of the Trinity through its image in the ternary scheme of the human soul. Memory, understanding, and will are three faculties, yet one mind, and this structure are similar to Trinitarian Persons.
