Theoretical aspects of professional identity research

The article is devoted to the analysis of theoretical aspects of the study of professional identity. The author explores the main functions, meaning, socio-psychological features and problems of the formation of professional identity in a modern person; correlates the concepts of "personal identity" and "professional identity"; analyzes different types of professional identity ("achieved identity", "diffuse identity", "premature identity"); reveals the content of the main components of human identity: cognitive, emotional, behavioral. The research focuses on the scientific ideas of E. Erickson, K. Jaspers, J. Marcia, L. Schneider and other domestic and foreign researchers on this problem.
