This paper is devoted to research in the field of economics, and concerns the study of theoretical aspects of the economic problem of product quality assessment. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that control over product quality is one of the main indicators of the production process and serves not so much as to detect defects or defects in manufactured products, as to check the quality of a product in the process of its creation.
