The article is dedicated to the study of market power in the modern consumer goods market in the Republic of Belarus, based on the theoretical approaches of Jean Tirole. The work examines the theoretical aspects of market power and analyzes changes in market structure resulting from economic transformations and liberalization. Special attention is paid to the potential abuse of market power by major players, highlighting the need for developing recommendations for antitrust policy. The article also presents current trends in the Belarusian consumer market, including the growth of online sales and support for local production, and discusses the impact of these factors on the competitive environment.
