The article touches upon the debatable questions concerning essence of the financial mechanism. The author analyses various approaches to definition of the compulsory health insurance financial mechanism presented in scientific literature, reveals basic elements. The author presents the compulsory health insurance financial mechanism realized of Perm Krai and the generalizing option of definition of the compulsory health insurance financial mechanism.
