Approaches to the definition of the concept of “sustainable socio-economic development” include several scientific areas. The ecological approach focuses on environmental problems and constraints associated with the use of natural resources. The main focus is on environmental protection and restoration. The institutional approach considers sustainable development through the prism of institutions and structures that regulate economic activity. The technological approach focuses on the use of advanced technologies to improve resource efficiency and reduce the negative impact on the environment. Special attention is paid to the creation of effective management and regulatory mechanisms that can support the sustainable use of resources.
