Analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of serves and the first move in the playoffs of the Russian club table tennis championship 2024/25

The purpose of the study is to quantify the ratio of the various types of serves that were used in the playoffs of the 2024/25 men's table tennis championship, to analyze their effectiveness and efficiency. To identify the quantitative ratio, video materials of the playoffs of the series were used, as well as mathematical formulas. The results of the study showed that the "pendulum" serve is the most used serve, the effectiveness of the serve is 98%, under the effectiveness of the serve we analyzed the number of points won by the serve alone, without further drawing - 10%, as well as the number of points won by the first move of the serve - 25%.
