The theoretical analysis of the definition of "cluster"

The article presents the results of the theoretic analysis of “cluster" definition, the relevance of which consists in the fact that there is a gap between clustering of the Russian industry and scientific theories that explain the phenomenon of cluster. This gap does not allow to carry out identification of industrial clusters. The authors suggest an original definition of "cluster" concept. In contrast to the pre-existing interpretations, it takes into account the peculiarities of interaction of companies with executive authorities and educational institutions.
