Theoretical understanding of the legal framework of veterans' social protection in the Russian Federation

The article identifies and analyses some issues associated with the social protection of veterans in Russia. The author makes an attempt of theoretical comprehension of the legal framework of veterans' social protection. The essence and features of constituent elements of the veterans' social protection system are described. Particular attention is paid to the conflicting interpretations of the elements of this system. The author discusses the principle support measures of different categories of veterans on the basis of normative-legal acts.
