The paper presents an analysis of the essence of the classical theories of integration: federalism, functionalism, neo-functionalism, transnationalism, the intergovernmental theory of European integration, as well as regional integration of various levels of robotization. It is noted that the process of theorization is continuously evolving, due to the dynamic geopolitical situation in the world. It is noted that the past, “established” political structures are collapsing. New integration associations of countries and regions are being formed in order to ensure their fruitful cooperation in the economic, social and political spheres. An example of such unions are the BRICS founders: Russia, China, India, Brazil; the SCO - the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. It includes: Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The EAEU is an organization of regional economic cooperation. The organizers are Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia. The paper provides a brief description of the integration processes in the new regions of the Russian Federation: Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. It is noted that the duration of integration processes in each region is different, due to the influence of external and internal factors, as well as the ongoing special military operation. Significant progress has been made in restoring the industrial and social infrastructure of the new regions, and especially the logistics system. Roads are being restored, a land bridge has been created to ensure the delivery of goods from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Crimea - Rostov-on-Don - Mariupol - Melitopol - Dzhankoy, and the construction of a railway that will run along the coast of the Sea of Azov is nearing completion. The paper notes the great importance of organizational, patriotic, cultural and educational events for the youth of new regions for the successful implementation of integration processes. As a result of the analysis of the integration processes of new regions into the socio-economic space of the Russian Federation, it is concluded that the integration processes in the real world have their own characteristics and it is impossible in this case to follow a certain (even classical) theory of integration, since the influence of factors affects here. Thus, integration processes in new regions occur, roughly corresponding to the regional theory of integration, but at the same time, each region has its own characteristics.
