The article discusses conceptualization of foundations of the modern extremism phenomenon, which is possible in the framework of legal political, psychological value-based, general social fields. The basis of the latter includes socio-philosophical knowledge supposing consideration of certain characteristics of the modern extremism at the theoretical methodological level.
