Theoretic methodological approaches to the research of national identity

The article considers national identity as a social phenomenon. It is emphasized that the globalization has influenced all the social spheres and has determined the need for the new understanding of the place and role of the ethnic in the multiethnic world, where the main parameters of the human and social being, among which the national identity takes a leading position, go through sweeping changes.
