Theoretical and methodological approaches to the definition of the essence of the concept “real sector of the economy”

The article considers theoretical and methodological approaches to defining the essence of the concept of “real sector of the economy”. It has been revealed that recently deep transformations have taken place in the structure of the real sector of the economy, the ratio in it between the branches of material production and the sphere of intangible services has changed. Hence, the methods identified by researchers are marked by inconsistency and cacophony of economic views. However, despite the structural transformation of the resource potential, a significant indicator of attributing macroeconomic sectors to the real sector of the economy is compliance with the implementation of the principle of participation in GDP production. In the context of new economic trends and phenomena of a diversified economy, this principle will allow the real sector to be able to continuously develop and become more expansionary, thereby smoothing out the opposing worldviews of the authors of scientific thought, leading them to a dynamic synthesis.
