Cognitive and methodological basis of physiology in works of L. P. Pavlov

The paper analyzes cognitive and methodological foundations of physiology in works of LP. Pavlov on the basis of his paper "On vascular centres in spinal cord". The history and logic of the research subject and his ontological model have been shown. The principle of the result and cognition process unity has been concretized. The inner mutual relations between theory and facts in scientific research have been studied. The original analysis on the question about conclusive power of positive and negative results of experiments has been held. The dialectics of relative and absolute truth in the theory of vasomotor centers has been shown. Correlation between fundamental and applied researches in physiology and medicine has been considered as well.
