The paper examines the theoretical and legal aspects of federalism and integration in the context of modern political practice, addresses the interaction of the state structure and integration processes, the influence of federalism on the integration process and its role in preserving the rights and interests of regions during integration processes. The result of the study is the conclusion about the importance of a balance between the rights of regions and the need to strengthen unity and interaction within the framework of the association in order to achieve common goals. The mechanisms to overcome problems in the interaction of federalism and integration are proposed.
