Theories and concepts of formation and development of human capital in the region

This article substantiates the importance of the concept of human capital in economics. A retrospective analysis of the evolution of the formation and development of key concepts of the theory of human capital in the context of classical and neoclassical economic theory is carried out. Based on the analysis of both fundamental and modern research, the main provisions concerning the role of human capital in the development of regions have been identified and systematized.
