This article describes the theory and practice of semi-level control of knowledge, abilities and skills in the professional training of students. It analizes some practical characteristics of the semi-level control implementation. The article gives the description of the principles, methods and forms of control. The article consideres the possibility of using semi-level tests, and gives their classification. The results of semi-level control (ZUN) approbation in the training of equipment operators in machining, while using the developed semi-level collection of tests on the basis of which proves its effectiveness in the process of professional training of students.
