Modernization theory and socio-economic development

The article analyzes the positive and negative sides of modernization. It is shown that the theory of modernization in modern conditions of deglobalization undergoes a certain transformation under the influence of geopolitical changes and increased confrontation between countries of various "echelons". The necessity of considering these changes in the formation of the main directions of industrial modernization is justified.
