Terms of «dominance» and «superdominance». Heterosis theories (review)

The authors present the conceptions of dominance and superdominance based on classic genetic works. The possibility of forecast of dominance shift direction during interaction of genotypes with environment is considered. The theories and the hypothesis of mechanism, appearance and evolution of heterosis were given. The authors come to a conclusion that all named hypothesis interpret this complicated phenomenon too simplistically without taking into consideration a role of environment as factor affected realization of any genotype.
