Terms and insult: about correlation of concepts

The article is devoted to the analysis of some controversial issues arising from the establishment of the fact of insult. The author focuses on polysemous words with invective terminological and lexical-semantic variants, the legitimacy of the use of such terms in definitions of “abusive”, “unethical”, as well as the acceptability of their euphemistic replacements.
