In this work, complex thermodynamic calculations of deep melt decarburization in the Fe - C - O system are performed and the limits of carbon oxidation in this system are estimated. A detailed analysis of the technological processes of deep decarburization of alloyed melts is also carried out on the basis of thermodynamic and kinetic calculations of the Fe-Cr-Ni-Mn -Si-C -O system.
