The thorny path of the Kyrgyz national university in the development of the Kyrgyz intelligentsia

The organization and development of higher education institutions played a major role in the development of the intelligentsia of Kyrgyzstan during the Soviet era. The universities, which began to form in the first half of the 30s of the Soviet period, began their development stage in the 50s of the twentieth century. The place of the Kyrgyz State University in the status of the only university in the Soviet era in the history of Kyrgyz universities is distinguished by an exceptional and glorious history. The article examines the place of the Kyrgyz State University in the formation of the Kyrgyz intelligentsia. As the study showed, the above-mentioned educational institution, which was first opened as a pedagogical technical school, then transformed into a pedagogical institute, and in 1951 into the Kyrgyz State University, played a major role in the development of the Kyrgyz national intelligentsia.
