Resume: The article examines and analyzes the features of the urban structure of Uzbekistan on the example of the Jizzakh region. This region consists of mountainous and foothill and developed steppe territories. These territories, differing in natural conditions and resources, are now fully developed. It is emphasized that the development of cities and villages is to a certain extent related to the natural conditions of these territories. These areas also vary in population, farming style and other opportunities. The importance of these differences in the regional economy and positive and negative features are reflected in the territorial distribution of the population, urban development. Consequently, it is possible to supplement the conclusions about the economic and social development of the country by analyzing the urban structure of a particular region.
