The development of domestic and inbound tourism is one of the priority directions of state regulation of tourism activities. However, nowadays there is a problem of the formation and promotion of the tourist product of small Russian cities, whose tourist and recreational potential was previously underestimated. In the article were studied the present condition of tourism territorial marketing in the small town of Plyos and proposed a set of measures to improve it.
