Areas of special (Pan-European) conservation importance of the emerald network in the region of Tver

The analysis and identification of potential areas for the Emerald Network have been carried out for the first time in the Region of Tver. 14 areas of special conservation importance (279, 5 thousands of hectares, 3.3% of the region’s area) have been identified at the first stage of the project. Status of perspective areas of the Emerald Net has been assigned to the mentioned areas by the Executive Committee of Europe’s Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats.
