Tipa and like – new residents in «the house of being»

The article raises the issue of the nature and causes of the emergence of deficient assertion markers in contemporary Russian and English. It is hypothesized that changes in the domain of linguistic interactions affect humans cognitive development in ontogeny; a tentative approach to the analysis of on-going language changes is put forward and supported by the biology of cognition as a theory of living systems.
