Peculiarities of interrogation of a suspect in cases of alcoholic products and (or) tobacco products contraband

This article is aimed at analyzing typical traces of smuggling of alcoholic products and (or) tobacco products, which form a trace picture of a crime. This type of smuggling, the responsibility for which is provided for in Article 200.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, is a serious customs crime, the investigation of which is complicated by many factors, including the need for the criminal to prepare for its commission, which minimizes the amount of information left by the criminal, which can be used by a person investigating a crime. To disclose it, it is necessary to take into account all possible sources of forensically significant information, expressed both in material and ideal traces of the crime committed. In this article, based on the analysis of investigative and judicial practice, key types of material and ideal traces are identified, and their brief description is given. It was revealed which categories of traces (traces-objects, traces-substances, traces-displays) are most often encountered in practice. Particular attention is paid to such aspects as the subject of smuggling, testimonies.
