Typological specifics of the masculine constructs: sociocultural analysis

The article carries out a sociocultural analysis of the typological characteristics of the masculinity construct in the historic and cultural context. The author distinguishes various foundations of the existing masculinity typologies, such as: criterion of power distribution between genders (real and symbolic); type of correlation between the Anglo-American gender order and the local gender systems in the process of colonization and globalization.
