Types and design features of wind generators. Combining two types of wind generators on one mast

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the concept of a hybrid wind power plant that combines horizontalaxis and vertical-axis wind generators on one mast. A comparative analysis of the design features of both types of installations is carried out. Horizontal-axis generators are effective at high wind speeds at a considerable height, while vertical-axis generators operate stably in unstable winds and at low speeds, being located closer to the ground. Combining these installations allows for more complete use of the wind resource at different altitudes and wind speeds, which helps to increase the installed capacity utilization factor (ICUF) to 0.4-0.5. The proposed technical solution ensures more stable power generation and system stability under changing weather conditions. Prospects for further research, including aerodynamic modeling and evaluation of vibration loads on the mast, are highlighted.
