Traction resistance of the needle harrow

The purpose of the research is the improving the quality of tillage due to improvements in processes and structures of needle harrows, wedge angle of needles which can vary; determination of the values of the traction resistance of the experimental section of needle harrows. A study of soil processing by experimental and serial sections of needle harrows were performed on the installation mounted with a tractor MTZ-80. Traction resistance of serial sections (Administration of Main Canals 5.4) and experimental harrow mounted on a common frame, determined planar manner when installed in the experimental section of the needle with a different cone angle (5º, 7º and 9º). The dependence of the horizontal and vertical components of the traction resistance of the operating depth of 4-8 cm, the unit rate 1,9-3,05 m / s and the angle of taper needles (5º, 7º and 9º) (three-factor experiment). According to the results of experimental section study of the needle harrows it was revealed that the resulting value of its traction resistance compared to the serial section Administration of Main Canals-5.4 was less than for needles taper angle 5º 30%, angle of 7º 17%. For needles with an angle of taper 9º value of the resulting traction resistance corresponded to the traction resistance of serial sections with a tolerance of ± 2%. It was found that speed increase leads to increased traction resistance by 5-24%, and tillage depth by 37-61%. It is noted that the depth of immersion of the needle into the soil is the most important factor which affects the value of the resistance force.
