The investigations results of the atmospheric emissions influence of cement plant on the content of heavy metals in soils and vegetable crops of garden plots of Semej city are given. The distribution of heavy metals in components of raw materials used for cement production is shown and the source of heavy metals entering in cement dust is also pointed out. It is established the presence of thallium in the atmospheric emissions of cement plant which is dangerous pollutant at very small concentrations in soils and vegetation. It is revealed that the main source of heavy metals in cement dust are cinders, used for cement production. The data about content of heavy metals in soils of garden plots situated in zone of cement plant influence and vegetable crops grown on these soils are given. It is shown that cement plant pollutes the soils and snow cover with dust atmospheric emissions that resulted in formation of technogenic geochemical anomalies in the soils of adjacent territories. It is revealed that above 30% of soils within this anomaly contain the increased quantity of heavy metals, including thallium. It is established that vegetable crops grown in zone of cement plant influence at a high degree are polluted by heavy metals but the maximum content of such elements as Zn, Cd, Cu, Cr, Pb are greatly increased ARC (admissible residual concentration). The content of Tl in vegetable crops is also increased but do not reach MPC (maximum permissible concentration). It is shown that in dangerous degree in zone of cement plant influence vegetable crops grown in these territories are polluted by heavy metals on 15-25%, that is explained by large mosaic of pollution and comparatively high buffering power of the soils. Comparatively low concentration of heavy metals in atmospheric emissions of cement plant, at large volumes of atmospheric emissions and protective abilities of vegetable crops are promoted the reduction of pollution level of vegetable crops.
