Accuracy and relevance as modern linguoecology categories (on the material of modern media)

Accuracy and relevance, the most important parameters of the rhetorical canon, are investigated in the article through the prism of the ideas of ecological linguistics, evaluating the quality of speech (text) and linguistic diversity in general from the standpoint of the compliance with sustainable development. Ecological linguistics studies various degradation processes impeding the optimal functioning of the system such as numerous inconsistencies with the categories of accuracy and in modern media. The authors attempts to explain the essence of this phenomenon and develop recommendations for overcoming degradation phenomena in the language and style of the media.
