Toposes in the court speech

The article deals with one of the most important elements of the rhetorical argumentation - general points (toposes) in the court speech. The author analyses the main types of toposes used by court speakers. And the role of toposes in making persuasive court speech is shown on the examples of speeches made by famous Russian lawyers of the 19 and the 20th centuries.
