Stone Age sites are always linked to the natural environment reflecting living conditions and the ways hunters-gatherers used to adapt to it. During the early Stone Age the location of settlements and camps was determined by paleogeography of the region, distinctive features of natural features, direction of the river flow and the level of water bodies. The human life style depended on the composition of flora and fauna and character of the biomass in the exploited ecological niche as well as hunting, fishing and gathering methods adopted by each population group.
