The development of domestic marketplaces helps Russia to adapt to the new reality that was formed after the pandemic and the departure of foreign companies from the Russian market. They ensure the growth of consumer demand for goods from Russian suppliers and stimulate the development of domestic business, which is important for strengthening Russia’s economic potential. However, trading on marketplaces has its own taxation and accounting peculiarities. Before starting to work with marketplaces, a seller needs to study the specifics of working with the trading platform and choose a taxation regime that allows optimizing the tax burden. This article will discuss the features of cooperation between a seller and a marketplace, the key aspects of taxation, accounting and document flow that a seller needs to study before entering a trading platform.
