Trade relations between the European Union countries and Ukraine in 2015-2016

The article analyzes the trade relations between Ukraine and the European Union countries in the first year of the agreement on the free trade zone. The paper identifies that minimizing the customs barriers has strengthened prerequisites for the capture of the Ukrainian market by the European manufacturers. The growth of the external trade balance deficiency forces the Ukrainian government to take new loans, and the Ukrainian economics does not show growth. The exclusion of Russia from the important niches of an economic complex of Ukraine in which the European Union is not interested leads to their filling with the countries with more competitive and aggressive nature (the USA, China). The threat of flow of re-export goods from the European Union countries to Russia through the Ukrainian territory still exists. However, according to the authors, it is possible to receive a representative assessment of the course of these processes as well as their real influence on the Ukrainian economics and the international positioning of Russia at the earliest in 2017-2018.
