Traditions of the Moscow merchants of the last third of the XIX - early XX century

The article examines the traditions of the Moscow merchant class that developed by the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century, which became a unique socio-cultural phenomenon in the economic and social life of pre-revolutionary Russia; the strong traditions of charity and patronage, the need for modern entrepreneurship to appeal to the best traditions of the Moscow merchant class are especially emphasized.
