In the article are examined the cases of reshaping the objects of shielding and offensive armament in the population of Khakass-Minusinsk basin in the period from the middle ages to the present both the local production and imported. Is carried out the detailed analysis of the object, redrafted from the dagger (so-called bebut) of the Russian production of beginning XX (it is found in the valley Abakan). This finding testifies that the tradition of reshaping the left the use or broken objects of armament was preserved in this territory even in the period of the ethnographical present.
