The article is devoted to understanding the events of the Most Holy Theotokos earthly demise and afterlife fate according to the Russian Saint Fathers’ beliefs. In contrast to the dogma, proclaimed by Pius XII in 1950 on the Assumption of the Virgin Mary to Heavenly glory with body and soul, in the Orthodox East the privilege of the Most Holy Virgin resurrection and glorification has never been made dependent on her Immaculate Conception. Special interest is not only the fact that the considered fathers really accept this tradition as undoubtedly Orthodox, but also the grounding, they give to this privilege. Mary, persistent accompanied Her Son throughout His earthly life - from Bethlehem to Golgotha - was the first who partake the fruits of the redemptive deed of Christ, been honored by following the glory of eternal life before the Second Coming and the general resurrection of the dead due to her unique place in the salvation history. In addition, fathers also point out that the Mother of God has showed the greatest example of the God and man synergy.
