Traditional culture of East Siberian autochthonous: the experience of preservation (the 20- the beginning of 21century)

The article deals with the traditional culture of East Siberian autochthonous in one of the most controversial periods of the Russian history - the Soviet period. Culture, language, religion, arts are reasonably recognized as a focus and vivid forms of national identity embodiment. The Soviet period of our multinational country is characterized by the attempts to preserve and develop the traditional culture of ethnic groups, including East Siberian natives. During this period the traditional economy of the peoples in Eastern Siberia have been transformed, their cultural and spiritual spheres undergone the tremendous changes. We study these complex and contradictory issues in this article. It analyzes ethnic and cultural processes in the light of national policy of the party and state structures in the Soviet period, reveals the content of Soviet socialist culture (as nationwide), its interaction with the cultures of other peoples in the USSR.
